The APA conference

Posted on: May 6th, 2006 by Greg Baugues

Josh and Matt spent the early part of this week attending the MGMA Academic Practice Assembly conference at the Hyatt Regency.

We are excited about the opportunity for our business to grow into the academic hospital space. We had a chance to solicit feedback on our ideas and feature set for System XI from a wide variety of managers at academic medical centers around the country.

Thanks again to our friends at Northwestern and Indiana Universities for recommending that we attend and to all the folks who took the time to talk to us at the conference.

Several hundred thousand supporters of immigrants right marched past the corner of Des Plaines and Randolph today. The Haymarket and its associated monument are at that corner, a stones throw from our front window.

While our business is not dependent on much in the way of recent immigrant labor, the vast majority of us and our families are recent arrivals in this country.

We genuinely hope that this protest marks the beginning of open-minded and sensible dialog on the issue in this country.
